FINANCIAL SOLVENCY AT THE TIME OF PLANNING YOUR ACADEMIC TRIP

When you decide to travel abroad is not only necessary to have the willing and time. It is also necessary to have the financial means and / or have a sponsor that will cover for your study and living expenses.

It is strictly necessary to be able to demonstrate financial solvency when it comes to processing a study visa for a foreign country. If the money is yours, at the time of attending the interview in the corresponding embassy or consulate, you should bring a bank letter and preferably the last 3 account statements (yours or your sponsor’s). If the money is from a sponsor, you must also bring a letter from Sponsor (your GRacademic advisor will provide you with a Sample Letter to make this diligence easier), you must bring the identification document of the sponsor and be able to explain the realtionship. Do not forget to also take with you any and all invoices showing everything you have paid corresponding to your study program since this will give more weight to your case and it will make easier your visa approval.

Once your visa is approved, do not forget to share the good news with your GRacademic advisor!
